Our Fall Book Fair starts soon, but with a bit of a difference.  This year, it will be completely online!  Yes, we are running a virtual book fair.  It starts on September 23 and runs through October 6 (two weeks instead of our usual one week in the school).  You can access the book fair homepage here:

SEABROOK BOOK FAIR

Here are some things you need to know:

All orders will ship straight to your home.

Orders that contain at least $25 worth of books will ship free.  You can order what you want, of course, but the free shipping requires the book total (before pens, posters, and such) to be $25 or more.

Scholastic will collect sales tax (7%)

If you have any questions, please email Mr. McCroary, our Book Fair chairman at [email protected]

reading counts, especially now

Reading is an excellent way to pass the time while you are at home.  You may not be able to visit a friend, but you can always visit a distant planet, or the center of the earth; the far past or the far future.  They are all there in a book!  The library is closed, true, but ebooks can be read anywhere, anytime.  J. W. Seabrook has over 200 ebooks available through the Destiny catalog, and most of them are testable.  Follow the link below to expand your reading world.

This link, and a link to the ebook catalog, is also available on the home page of our school Media Center website.  Click on the link, and then click on J. W. Seabrook from the list.  The username and password for both SEBCO and Follett books are the same: BOBCATS and BOBCATS.  If SEBCO asks for a student ID number, the number is 1.

CCS Waives Student Uniform Requirements for 2020-2021 School Year
Published by Angel Hoggard on August 3, 2020
.....................................................................................................................................................................................

The Cumberland County Board of Education has approved a waiver of Policy 4316 (Student Dress Code, School Uniform Requirements) for the 2020-2021 school year only, as allowed by Policy 2450 (Suspension of Board Policies), due to the financial impact of COVID-19. However, families still have the option to allow students to wear uniforms when Blended-Remote and Face-to-Face Learning is in operation. There will be no consequences imposed upon a student for a uniform violation during the 2020-2021 school year.
