Uniform Dress Code

Uniform Code of Dress

J. W. Seabrook’s  code of dress .  Please check with Mr. McGill if you have any questions.

Shirts: White, Navy Blue, Light Blue, Burgundy, Yellow, or Gold Polo (long or short sleeve with collar), or turtleneck; no name brand logos.  Seabrook School logos are permitted.

Slacks/Shorts/Skirts/Skorts/Capris/JumpersTwill or cotton, solid Khaki tan or navy blue color.

Belts:  black or brown

Shoes: solid black or white tennis shoes

Socks/Tights: white or dark solid colored

Sweaters:  White. Navy Blue, Light Blue, Burgundy, Yellow, or Gold.

Sweatshirts:  White, Navy Blue, Light Blue, Burgundy, Yellow, Gold, or Seabrook sweatshirts.

Guidelines:

  • No open-toed or open-heeled shoes will be allowed (must not have lights and must be suitable for PE).  No tennis shoes with wheels.
  • A collared shirt or turtleneck must be worn under the Seabrook sweatshirt with a collar visible.
  • Skirts, skorts, jumpers, and shorts must be knee length
  • Sweaters must be totally solid in color.
  • If a sweater is not being worn, it may not be tied around a student’s waist
  • Belts will be work with pants, capris, shorts, skorts, and skirts that have belt loops.
  • Shirttails will be work tucked in at all times.
  • No “sagging” of pants or over-ballooning of shirts well past the belt will be permitted.
  • No drawstring, bellbottom, or hip-hugger slacks permitted.
  • No jeans or any type of denim may be worn even if it is of the tan or navy color – Casual dress slacks only.
  • No overalls are permitted.
  • No unnatural colors or distracting hairstyles will be permitted.
  • Distracting, oversized jewelry may not be worn.
  • Outerwear coats may not be worn in the building during the school day.

*Administration reserves the right to determine the appropriateness of any student’s  dress at any time during the school day.
